So,
There are things that I sometimes think of telling people just to gauge their reaction to them. But then I remember that a secret shared is a secret everyone else suddenly knows about, contradictory to the idea of it being halved.
I know that if I ‘confide’ something in a friend, they will ‘confide’ it in another friend, and they will ‘confide’ it in another friend and so on.
But then I think, it’s the end of the year, most of these people are going away to universities at the other end of the country, would it really hurt if I told them?
The answer is no I suppose, and I sorta wish that I could see their faces when they realise I am a complete lie. It would be funny to watch the cogs in their brain turn, and their faces go slightly ajar as they piece together any bits of information they had in an attempt to reply ‘yeah well I kinda guessed anyway’
Alas, I am too much of a coward, so we can all just continue to wonder.
